I like to keep a backup of all my separate cc on another hard drive and move them into my mods folder when making sims to upload so S4TI can read the files easier Note: merging equals better organization and less files for the game to read, making it run a little better. It’s a necessity for any simmer whether you wish to make your own content or not!

Sims 4 Studio (free registration required) - not only is making cc much easier with this handy tool, you can also merge packages and batch fix any cc you have. Definitely a must have for anyone who wants to keep things nice and organized! Sims 4 Package Editor (S4PE) - if you modded ts3, you know what this program is and how useful it can be! For ts4 I mostly use it as a means to figure out what some cc is, if there’s a package file that isn’t quite named properly, you can open in it s4pe and find out exactly what it is by either the thumbnail or information given to you. Mod Conflict Detector - if you’re having some problems with your game, this may help you out! Its definitely not the greatest thing to turn to, since it shows a lot of conflicts that aren’t true (I know, defeats the purpose a bit) but it does help you at least suss out what might be wrong or find any cc that shouldn’t be in your folders (ie. zip folder with or without cc and view which packs were used in the file. You also have the ability to export tray files into a. You can view all the cc used in any tray file, open each package wherever its stored in your mods folder and even google specific cc right from the program. Sims 4 Tray Importer (S4TI) - the ultimate lifesaver for anyone uploading sims/lots or wanting to remove cc. TSR Ad Skipper - no more having to stay on the page for however long UBlock Origin - another adblocker I always use, sometimes useful when sites pick up on adfly and demand you to turn it off *the extensions are for chrome, I’m unaware if they’re all available on other browsers but I do know some have other versions!Īdblock - self explanatory, everyone should have this whether you download cc or not! Some people don’t want malware on their machines ? Here’s a list of all the extensions I use to keep downloading as safe as possible and hassle free - if you have an issue with all the skippers I suggest just moving on. Note: this isn’t a resource for in game mods or making cc! Downloading: I’m sure there are plenty of informative posts around, but I felt the need to make my own since its not that long of a list, and I’ll explain a little bit about what each thing does. So I figured why not make a small list of things I find useful? This isn’t just for newbies, some things might be new to people who’ve been here for a long time and I just want to help out anyone if I can! Hey everyone! As some of you may know I’ve been in the simming community for…way too long tbh and in that time I’ve found quite a few things to help with anything from staying as safe as possible while downloading cc, to making tumblr easier and uploading creations much faster.
